"You know, I think I'm up for a nap right now. Since wrestling around with Alex must have taken a lot more out of me then I originally thought. But I don't think that they'd want me to sleep on the floor. So I guess the nap is out of the question." He said and then made his way over to the other chair in the room. He didn't think that he'd be able to sleep in it but you never know. If he was tired enough he might be able to but he wasn't so sure about that. Just as long as he didn't start yelling in his sleep again everything would be fine. Then again, everybody would probably think it was Thomas and come running in here and that wouldn't be a good thing. Not to mention he would be really embarrassed. "I wish that he'd be able to communicate because I'd really like to know how he felt about everything." He said and then slowly started to close his eyes. He could hear Jeanette talking and then when he heard her say that it had been her mother calling he nodded. Then he drifted off into the blackness that was known as sleep.

She looked to him and smiled gently. She nodded her head softly looking at him then she looked back to Thomas in thought. She was kinda tired too, but she knew she wasn't going to sleep easy in the hospital. She sighed gently and looked to Ryan and frowned soflty. "Hopefully he'll be up and at least a little coherent in a few hours." She said softly looking back to Thomas. She was about to tell Ryan that she wouldn't mind if he left her here for a while and found himself a better place to sleep, but he had closed his eyes and she didn't want to disturb him. She looked back to Thomas and sighed softly as she laid her head down on the bed. She would have rested her head on his hip, but she wasn't sure if he was hurt anywhere in that area and she didn't want to hurt him.
She closed her eyes and took in a deep breath before she started to sing the Geek lulliby her parents used to sing her to sleep with. As she started to drift off to sleep the song gradually slowed until she just completel stopped. She was off in her own little world of sleep, but the slightest movement or sound would probably bring her out of it.

What was with all of the noise around him? And why was his body hurting so much? Thomas slowly opened his eyes and he let out a short gasp as parts of things came back to him. There was Alex punching him and the doctors asking him a bunch of questions he couldn't answer. But in between all of that there were huge gaps that he didn't know what happened. He could faintly remember hearing voices but he didn't know who they belonged to. He was about to roll over when a ton of pain ran through him again and he knew that it probably was best if he didn't do that. He slowly looked around the room and he realized that there were two people in there but he couldn't quite place who they were. And that was what frustrated him because he felt as if he should know who those two people were. "Where", was the only word that came out of his mouth. Everything was very confusing to him and yet, he didn't know if he'd even be able to understand what people were telling him.
Ryan was fast asleep but for once, he wasn't having a bad dream. He was dreaming that his parents had bought him a puppy and that he was playing with it. The puppy kept jumping up at him trying to lick him. A small smile appeared on his face but he didn't hear Thomas because he was in too deep of sleep.
((Sorry, I really couldn't think of anything.))

She hadn't heard him gasp, but the movement from him was starting to cause her to stir from her little cat nap. She looked up at him when she heard his voice. "Thomas? Are you alright? Do I need to call a nurse in for you?" She asked gently as her hand reached his and she squeezed it gently to try and reassure him that he was alright. He seemed so confused at first. "It's me, Jeanette. You're at the hospital. Ryan and I brought you here after your fight with Alex." She said gently as she scooted closer to his head and she gently looked at him.
She looked around for a clock, but she was too focused on Thomas. She looked to Ryan and noticed the smile on his face, but she didn't try to wake him. She didn't want to bother him if he was having a good dream. She looked back to Thomas and reached a hand up to his face as she laid it on his cheek careful not to cause anymore pain. "You need to try and be still if you're hurting." She advised gently as she gave him a worried look.

Was he alright? He really didn't know that he could feel pain radiating through its body like it had its own little beat that it had to keep. "I don't know.. if I'm ok everything hurts." He said as he forced those himself to string those words together to form the first sentence that he had said in a very long time. But as soon as he heard the name Jeanette the memories of her started to come back a little bit. She'd been there when he had been fighting with Alex. But then a small thought occurred to him. Where was Alex? He certainly wasn't in this room. Since he distinctly remembered that he was a lot skinnier then the other person that was in the room. And he didn't think that he'd been out for so long that Alex had actually put weight on. Then again, he really wasn't sure about anything so he didn't know. "Where is Alex, he's not here is he?" He asked as a look of confusion passed over his face. He felt her hand on his cheek and he let out a sigh of relief. For a few moments he had wondered if she was a ghost but now, he was certain that she wasn't. "It's hard, not to move." He said with a slight break in mid sentence. He wasn't even close to mastering talking without having a pause in the middle of a sentence yet.

She looked at him and frowned softly. She leant forwards and looked down at him and tried to give off a soft reassuring smile. "Yeah, you should be hurting, you've got several broken ribs, your cheek bone is cracked under your eye socket, and you've got a bunch of bruising." She said softly as she ran her hand through his hair softly looking at him. She frowned when he asked about Alex. She looked to a scratch above his bruised eye before she looked back to his eyes. "Alex is where the help he needs is. You're dad took him in several hours ago before he came here, and I promise he won't ever hurt you again." She said softly as she brushed her hand delicately along the bruise then looked him in the eyes.
She sighed softly and nodded. "I know it's not easy, but you need to try and be as still as possible. You're drip in you IV should have a bit of some kind of pain killer, but if you need me to I can ask a nurse to bring you some." She said softly looking at him as she rested her hand on his cheek and stroked it softly with her thumb.

So Alex really had worked him over by the sound of it. But it was hard to believe that in the few moments that he two had been fighting with each other that so much damage could have been done to him. And by the sound of things, not too much damage had been done to Alex. Sure he probably had bruises on him. Because he kind of remembered how he had landed almost on top of him. "One word..ouch." He said and then somehow managed to laugh slightly before wincing as more pain shot through him. He tried to listen to what she said about Alex but he found his mind couldn't really focus too well. So Alex was, somewhere getting help. Well, that was good news because he didn't want something like this to ever happen again. And if he wasn't so out of it he knew that he'd probably be shaking out of fear. Since that fear of hospitals was a pretty serious one for him. And it had been the main reason that he'd attempted to get out the last time he had been in here.
"No more pain killers, it's hard enough to focus already." He said as his eyes wandered over to where Ryan was. "Who's he?", he asked as he tried to place the face with a name.

She smiled softly and laughed gently when he made that funny little comment. "Well, at least you still have your sense of humor." She said sweetly as she brushed some hair out of his face. That was a good thing to her. "I would be worried if you weren't in pain. You took quite a beating." She said gently looking at him then down at a bruise on his arm.
"Suite yourself." She muttered gently looking at one of the bruises. She looked over her shoulder at Ryan who was still sound asleep. "That would be your friend since childhood, Ryan." She said sweetly looking back to Thomas. "Promise me one thing while you're here. No escape attempts. There's no point because me and Ryan will both drag you straight back to your room and bed if we have to. I don't plan on leaving you here on your own unless I absolutely have to anyways because this is my fault." She said gently looking up at him as she brushed her hand over his cheek then rested her hand down on the bed. "I know you don't like the hospital, and I can understand why, but the more you cooperate with the hospital workers the sooner you'll be out of here." She said softly letting her green eyes rest on his own, one of which was surrounded by a bruise.

"I can kind of tell that Alex really beat me up but I suppose that you'd know better. Because I really don't know how many bruises are on me." He said and then heard her explain who the other person in the room was. All of a sudden things came back to him at full force again making him gasp once again. It had been Ryan who had kept Alex away from him after he'd went down. And it had also been him who had brought Alex down and had probably fought with him harder then he had. It was amazing to him that Ryan wasn't in the same shape that he was. He simply nodded and then heard her talk to him about not escaping. He knew that he wouldn't have been able to get away today because his head was killing him and he probably wouldn't have even been able to stand upright. But he did have to admit, he did want to get out of here as soon as possible and if that had meant breaking out he would have. "It's not your fault that this happened it's mine. I shouldn't have let Alex just take control of the situation like I did." He said and then sighed, maybe Alex would come out of wherever he was a changed person and things would be back to normal.
"I don't just not like hospitals, I'm scared of them." He said and then watched as a nurse looked into the room and he instantly started to shake. And he didn't stop until she finally left he then realized that all the while she'd been there he'd been holding his breath. So he slowly started to breathe again as he noticed how much his sides hurt when he did breathe. He figured that was because of the broken ribs though. "It even hurts to breathe and my stomach still hurts." He said and then looked up at the ceiling. "I just want to go home", he whispered as he bit his lip to keep from crying again.

She nodded gently and played with his hair a little as she looked down at him. "I wish there was a way to sear that out of my memory because I was so scared for you." She said gently looking up at him. She looked at him and frowned softly. She shook her head and looked away from him. "No, it is my fault. If I had just stayed at Ryan's place then he would have been able to help you instead of worrying about me." She said shakily as she reached a hand up to brush away a tear that had snuck out of her eyes on her. She felt another and she wiped at it quickly as well.
"Why?" She asked curiously as she tilted her head gently letting a few stray hairs that fell out of her french braid fall into her face. She looked up at the nurse when she came in. She looked to Thomas and frowned softly when she felt him start to shake. She took his hand and gave it a gentle squeeze. "It's alright. She's just wants to check a few things." She said softly trying to comfort him. She looked to the door when the nurse left and she looked to Thomas realizing he had practically been holding his breath when she came in. She brushed her hand through his hair softly and nodded gently. "I know, it probably hurts just to think too." She said gently trying to make him laugh a litt, but she doubted it would. She nodded her head gently and was about to hug him gently, but she pulled herself back into the chair afraid that she would hurt him further. "I know, I know you do, but if you cooperate with the doctors and nurses the quicker you'll be home. I promise." She said gently. She felt so guilty looking at that face of his. Black eye and all. She saw that he wanted to cry and she rested her hand on his hair and sifted her hand through his hair gently to comfort him as she laid her head down by his arm.

He heard her ask why he was scared of hospitals and he decided not to really give her an answer to that. There were only three people in the world that knew the true reason of why he was scared of hospitals. And those th people were his dad, Ryan, and his mother. And none of them would ever tell what events had triggered his fear. He was scared to tell her why he was and not to mention it was probably one of his deepest secrets. "Because I just am", he said and then looked around the room again. He heard her mention that it probably hurt to think and he nodded. It hurt just to look around the room and his back was once again bothering him from laying down for so long. But this time, he wouldn't even be able to really move around. Although he was still trying not to receive any more pain medication he knew that he'd probably need more sometime. Since it was become very hard to just ignore the pain as he became more and more awake. "If only they'd let me go home now." He said and then let out another soft sigh.
Out of the corner of his eye he saw movement and he noticed that a different nurse had came back in and this time, she was coming into the room. He started shaking again and when she was right next to the bed he instinctively moved away from her. But in the process pain shot through his body and he knew that he'd better try and force himself to stay put since it probably wasn't good for him to even move a few inches to the right. He then looked at the nurse for a few seconds before squeezing his eyes shut. Maybe if he couldn't see her then she'd disappear and everybody would leave him alone.

She frowned gently giving him a questioning look when he wouldn't give the answer to her. She sighed softly and decided it best not to argue with him. She could probably ask Ryan later if they were alone any time in the near future. She looked at him and frowned. "I know, but theres no way on Earth that you can just jump out of a hospital bed a few hours after being emitted into the hospital with the injuries you have." She said gently brushing her thumb over his knuckles.
She looked up when the nurse came in and she frowned at the reaction he had when she stood next to the bed. She took his hand into hers and she leant forwards and started to sing a soft melodic tune in Greek hoping it would calm him a little. "If you're that scared then squeeze my hand as hard as you want so long as you don't break it." She said to him softly then she looked back to the nurse before she started back singing the soft song to him gently.

Thomas could hear Jeanette singing but he wasn't really calming down too much. Although his shaking had lessened a little bit. He heard her tell him that he could squeeze her hand if he wanted to, and he did. Although he could only squeeze it lightly because it was all that he could mange to do. He let his breath out and then quickly took another breath before he began holding it again. He had never wanted Jeanette to see him acting like this, since this was the only time that he really acted like this. And the nurse was making it worse by not talking to him and he could feel her fiddling around with something on his arm. But then he heard her say that she would be back later and he could hear her footsteps leaving the room. He slowly opened his eyes and looked away from Jeanette, he didn't want her to see that the fear still had not left his eyes. "Things could have been worse, my mom works as a nurse here and I'd hate for her to be the one messing with me." He said as he looked over to where Ryan was sleeping. At least he hadn't woken up while he was panicking since he figured that wouldn't have been a good thing.

She sang to him still feeling him squeeze her hand. She watched as he held his breath. She looked up to the nurse when she said she would be back in later. She nodded her head and looked down at Thomas. She frowned at him when he looked away. She reached her hand up to his cheek and she pushed his face towards hers and looked him in the eyes with her own. This kind of behavior from Thomas of all people was scaring her. "Please tell me why you're afraid of hospitals. This is one of the few issues I'm ever going to push you to tell me if I have to, but I don't want to have to." She said gently as she looked him in the eyes. She could see the fear there in his eyes and it bothered her that she didn't know what it was that scared him so much. "Plus if you don't tell me I can probably get it out of Ryan." She said gently looking at him and waiting.

Thomas felt her move his head toward her and he didn't like the sound of her voice since he knew that she was serious. He really did not want to tell her since telling her would stir all of those bad memories up and he didn't want her to have to hear everything. "I can't," he said and then heard her say that she could get it out of Ryan if she had to. "He won't tell you unless I tell him to. He swore to me that he wouldn't tell a soul and this is something pretty serious." He said and then at that moment he began to feel very tired again and he knew that he wouldn't be able to stay awake much longer. "Goodnight," he said and then simply went back to sleep.
