That was it...School was out and summer was here. Time for goofing off, getting drunk and partying until you puked right?Well mabey that was a bit overboard. Summer to katie ment training.....This would be her senior year this year and she planned on making it a memorable one, not only to every other cheer squad in school but mabey a few guys too...Truth be told she had no idea what this year would hold for her, but she was sure as h.ell ready to find out.
Katie made her way onto the track red cheerleading duffle bag at her side. She knew she had to work hard, this would be her year.....If she wanted to make it to dallas cheerleading or more she'd have to work hard......of course with fun though too. Letting the duffel drop by the track she sat down putting her white slim gym shoes on and tying her hair back in a ponytail. She sported an everlast "pretty in pink" limited edition grey skin tight tank top and a pair of ae black workout shorts with white lining on them...putting her earphones in she got up.....two and a half miles...her goal today....When school'd just let out she'd taken a break from her daily workouts but now with school around the bend ...or so it seemed at least she was back in black.or grey... and back on the track, right left right left, just keep going....
Nothing was catching her attention today..every once in a while there'd be someone else running on the track or some people just aimlessly walking around she guessed, anything to catch her attention, but no, all she seemed to get today was the nagging sun on her shoulders

Neils was enjoying the day by coming out to the track. He needed to run anyways to keep himself in shape for soccer and football. After all he had finally gotten use to the huge time change and he had all this energy now that he had caught up on his sleep. He set his black bag on the ground next to a bench and slipped on a pair of socks and his running shoes. Other than that all he wore were a pair of soccer shorts revealing his muscular arms and somewhat toned abs.
He wasn't paying attention to much except for the track ahead of him and a girl infront of him. He smirked gently watching her for a minute then he picked up his pace and closed the space between them. He looked to her and nodded. "Nice day for a run." He said gently between breaths in a thick Greek accent then picked up the pace a little more and continued forward. He wondered what her reaction would be, but he didn't let on to anything.

Katie had her earphones on but she heard someone speak behind her. Taking the pink earbuds from her ears she looked to the kid next to her.....He looked somewhat new...though athletic....that much was apparent. Slight grin came apon her rosy lips. keeping her steady pace she laughed i guess you could call it that she replied with a chuckle. The humidity out was not her thing it distraced her and only made it tougher to run. She kept chugging along though around and around and around.
She watched him speed ahead, she didnt know how guys did it in the heat. There were times she'd watch the football players after practice and didnt know how they did what they did in the weather. your new she inquired...or more or less just said flatly. She hadnt seen him around, so either he was new.....she was as oblivious as ever, or he was some nerd that did the flip flop all of a sudden going to jock in a summer. She didnt mind that he'd passed her. She didnt have to keep up with her, she kept up with no one, and the group that she was with she'd learned that she set standards, not followed them

He chuckled when he heard her voice. He kept running though. He loved to run no matter the weather. He ran just about every day back in Greece. He missed the streets of Athens though. The track was the only place here that he could really enjoy running, but running in a circle got boring after a few times. He glanced back over his shoulder at the sound of her voice again.
"Am I that obvious?" He asked teasingly again in that rolling thick Greek accent. He smiled gently and slowed down his pace so that she could catch up and enjoy a nice run with a pretty girl.

Smirk crept apon katies face and she laughed. A blonde would be smart eneough to know he was new. Besides Katie knew about everyone in the whole school and she surely knew if there were new kids or kids that left, it was just something she always knew. She watched him and nodded ya, just a lil' she said laughing.
When he slowed to her pace....she didnt take it as flattering, though she wasnt dissapointed, she knew how to catch attention...she'd had enough practice i would of caught up, i was just giving you a head start she teased as she kept her pace jogging beside him brunette hair falling down her back, only a few strands falling down into her face, bright blue eyes searching him almost labeling him her source of entertainment for the time being

He chuckled at her coment and nodded. He knew that it was obvious to her. Most people picked up on the accent and that was the first thing that told them he wasn't from around here. "It's the accent right?" He asked playfully as they jogged next to eachother.
He looked to her and smirked gently. "Oh, sure you were." He said laughing gently looking to her. He noticed her blue eyes watching him and seemingly examining him. He didn't mind it though. It was hard to make friends when you move somewhere from a completely different country. He didn't mind the attention it was getting him either. That was just a plus for him. After all it wasn't every day that a pretty girl watched him run while runnin with him. No most of the girls back home just watched as they sat on a bench or something. "If you keep looking at me like that I may actually do something other than run." He said teasingly as he looked around then brown eyes turned back to her.

She chucked at what he'd said Actually...though she'd noticed the accent it wasnt all that different to her, she'd heard far more different ones though it did seem to suit how he looked. She couldnt quite put her finger on what kind of an accent it was though...italian mabey she thought and questioned it " italian?" she said jogging beside him.....She could be wrong but she realy didnt care, it was an accent, and she was no genius anyways....sleeping through all her foreign language classes didnt do much for her...
She grinned watching him tease her hey now, im no liar i would have caught up.....eventually she told him laughing. She would have...mabey when he took a water break.....And though she was talking she was still counting the laps, counting the time before she could stop this torture she put herself through....she ws ok with other excercising but jogging normaly bored her and she didnt have great wind all the time. She seemed kind of dazed in her thoughts but the sound of his voice shook her from it and her brow cocked bold she told him smirking im katie she said after a moment. She figured she should probably introduce herself....not that he wouldnt hear about her around school but that was her and her nosiness again, who was this kid, what year was he, what sports did he do.....she was just like that, though she didnt normally show it, she held a look of composure;

He smirked gently when she tried to guess his accent. That was a very good guess though. "No, but you were close. It's Greek." He said getnly looking at her for a moment then looked back to infront of them. It wasn't every day that people so closely guess his accent. He looked at her again chuckling at her statement.
"When? When I would've stopped?" He asked teasingly looking at her for a moment. Not many people could keep up with Neils which is why he was a big soccer star back in Greece, but he was still learning the concepts of football. Not to mention he was having to get used to calling soccer soccer and not football. He looked back at her and laughed gently. "Thank you, you should see me when I have enough breath though." He said playfully as he looked around then back to her. "I'm Neils, nice to meet you Katie." He said gently nodding his head a little.

she couldnt help but laugh which wasnt a great way to keep your breathing while running but that was ok....She'd be done after a few more laps anyways. Only a few more, thats what she kept telling herself while still keeping up with the conversation as well. She knew very well she could be a bit of an airhead sometimes, but when she chose to pay attention she did.
im very surprised she told him, that was one lucky guess she had to laugh, she'd heard italian accents....very few to none times. mabey while watching a model show or something to that extent, though not in real life. She heard him tease her and just shook her head im getting the feeling that you underestimate me she said with a smirk, still jogging beside him.
She'd only been talking to him for a little while, but she could already tell he'd fit right in with the jocks at school. He had that attitude about him. She didnt let him know that she knew it though. She'd let him get into school, walk around aimlessly until he found his knich and all would be well. smirk formed at the corners of her lips listening though, he amused her a bit.....and his name....Neils?...That'd be one she'd surely forget, neils....shed never heard of it again, but neil armstrong came to mind......and the light sorta clicked on.

He chuckled gently so he wouldn't have a problem catching his breath. "Good guess then." He said kindly looking to her with that broad smile on his naturally bronze skin. He looked around and smirked when she said he seemed to underestimate her. "Well, you've yet to do anything to prove yourself." He said with a bit of a challenging tone to that deep tone of his. He laughed gently and then looked around waiting for her to do something.
He wasn't always as cocky as he was being. If she knew the jocks well enough she would find that his personality changes were very unpredictable. His temper got the best of him sometimes and when he and Jeanette fight he's normally angry the rest of the day because she won't speak to him. Sometimes she just all out avoids him until both their tempers burn out.

Katie grinned brow cocked, she was too used to the jocks to take their challenges seriously usually. She walked, she'd finished her laps and wasnt doing that bad actually...Talking was taking her mind off it for the most part. anything you can do i can do better she said with a cocky hint to her tones. Sticking her tonge out at him teasingly. as she continued to walk.
She made her way around the track at a walk one more time beore stopping and going to the bench where she'd left her stuff getting her water bottle out and drinking it looking over towards him.She was just one of those people who enjoyed life. She had a somewhat...cocky/happy go lucky look to her ace, though she also had this sly, somewhat sexy look to her personality. She sat down changing her shoes and packing her stuff in her bag before staying on the grass in the side. Stretching for cheerleading, she knew she'd have to get ready......there'd been rumors of some good new freshmen....and NO ONE would show varsity up, she'd make sure of that.

He looked at her and chuckled gently as they started to slow to a walk. "I can do anything better than you." He said playfully in a sing song voice. He had always found the play Annie Go Get Your Gun a good comedy. He wasn't thrilled when Jeanette had drug him to it, but once he got into it he found it a pretty funny show.
He looked to the watch around his wrist and then looked up at her as they came to a stop. He looked back to her for a moment. "I'm afraid I must go. My sister needs a ride home right about now." He said gently. He opened up his bag and slipped on a shirt he had cut the sleeves off of. "It was a pleasure to run with you, Katie." He made a gentelman like bow and then chuckled a little. He then turned and walked off the track still in his running shoes and off to the parking lot where his metalic green 67' Ford Mustang sat waiting for him to show up and crank it up to let the top down.

she laughed watching him and shaking her head. Continuing her stretches alrighty, ill see you around she said, sure that she would in school, and with the attitude that he had, their cliques always meshed nicely. Though To katies preference she conversed with everyone around her.
She watched him leave noting his car, That was nice, she didnt know what it was...well a mustang by the emblem but that was all. She wasnt big into cars, who could expect her to be? she drove the one she liked a corvette....thats all she knew it was.......Watching him drive off she finished her own workout before packing her stuff up looking in the passneger seat at the flowers and teddy bear for marissas grave and making sue she didnt forget anything. She sat there a few more minutes returning some texts she'd recieved before driving off the way she'd come
