There was five soccer balls lined up about fifty yards away from the goal. She stood about ten yards away from the balls and accessed the angle in which she would kick the ball as well as the strength and the technique she would use. Strength wasn't worth anything if you couldn't hit the ball right. Actually, it wasn't worth anything. If you could hit the ball just right, you don't really have to kick it that hard. Of course, you wanted the ball to head for the goal really fast because it would help give less time for the goalie to think. Ashleigh Duaverez was on the soccer field practicing her kick. She'd already been here for hours upon hours and it was getting dark. So dark, that she was wondering where her sister had gone. She was supposed to pick her up in about an hour. Her sister usually never forgot about her, and it would be unusual if she did this time. What the hell is she up to, anyways! She sighed and decided to keep kicking the ball until Zesmine arrived. She concentrated. She stepped forward about five yards. She took a deep breath. She jogged forward and kicked the first ball in the line. It barely made it in the goal. The next one completely missed, but she would not let that get her down. She went for the next one, barely got it in and realized her mistake. She stepped back again and took a deep breath. The next two went in perfectly. She gathered all her balls in what seemed like only a few seconds and was in front of all five once more. Same pattern. The soccer balls were in front of her again. She kept at it for a complete thirty minutes. With the soccer balls in front of her again, she went ahead and kicked all of them in as soon as she kicked the other. One missed, but the other four went in perfectly. This was still not good enough for her. She went at it for another 30 minutes, got frustrated after missing three times in a row and decided to practice running with a soccer ball to take out some of the frustration on it until her nerves calmed enough again to kick. After doing this, she practiced kicking them in the goal again. It took about three to ten tries, but she finally scored all five in a row. She gathered all her soccer balls and sat on the bleachers. She realized she was sweating even though the temperature outside was quite pleasant. She stood up and laid on the soft damp grass, then looked at her watch. Zesmine was already five minutes late. That was no big deal, but Ashleigh had the feeling that five to ten minutes wasn't all of it.

[&&i'm not afraid to cry;;]
Watching a freshman kick soccer balls for thirty minutes, in anyone's opinion is boring, especially if you're a the most popular senior in the school with a life. However, Sebastian Collins couldn't bring himself to walk away from the petite girl who seemed rather angry, taking her angry out on her kicking skills. Why the teenager was there in the soccer feild in the first place? He wasn't too sure...he could go back home, but the last thing Sebastian wanted right now was for his mood to suddenly get ruined and he knew that it would if he went home to his demanding mother, concerned father, and his occasionally annoying sister.
After watching the freshman drop herself on the grass, the teenager sighed and walked through the tiny fenced gate, making his way over. Sebastian had a car, he could easily get his butt in his car and go home, but there were two reasons he didn't. First, it was the whole 'ignoring the family' deal and Seb really didn't want to go all the way home and then come all the way back in an hour for the football game. On a game day like this, his friends are usually resting their legs and muscles, but Sebastian is always hanging around. It was about 7:30 at the moment and the sun was completely down. Seb hadn't realized it was dark until he finally made his way over to the freshman.
He'd been outside the feild ever since the sun was setting and now it was completely dark without his knowledge. Sebastian laid down right next to the girl on the warm, yet soft and looked up at the sky before facing her with a smile on his face, Hey there as he took a hold of her wrist without permission and looked at the time on her watch, What's a girl like you doing in school at...8? It was summer. Other than game days, the principle had prohibited everyone from coming into the feilds. Well, the gate was open and it wasn't like no one came. These students are teenagers; it's in their blood to go against rules.

Ashleigh was surprised to see someone join her on the ground, but what surprised her more was that she did not jump at the sight of him. She had thought that she was here alone; apparently she was not. She grimaced. "Waiting for her sister to arrive, who should have been here an hour ago!" She grumbled a bit at having been interrupted and mumbled under her breath, "Probably got caught by the cops while hanging out by the graveyard." She faced the guy lying next to her. He was cute, but she didn't care too much. "So, what's a guy like you doing out at...eh..8?" She smiled and sat up. She looked to the parking lot and the street hoping to see her sister pull up. She was not usually late, and this worried her. She thought about calling her, and figured she would if Zesmine didn't arrive within another twenty minutes. After all, how bad would it be spending twenty minutes with this cute guy. He looked like he knew sports and she thought, Perhaps he could teach me a few techniques about soccer.
