((Yes, this post has no title but it's actually the very first practice so yeah, I'd appreciate it if I don't have to just rp my guys in it. ))
Once again, Josh was off at the field but this time he actually had a right to be here. Since he'd taken up the offer from the previous assistant coach and now he was the official assistant coach. Sure people would probably complain about it since he was only nineteen but he really didn't care. They'd just have to deal with it after all people should be happy about him doing this. Since a lot of people considered him a living legend because of all that he'd done at the school involving sports. Now he knew that his name came up a lot in the trophy cases but he'd never had anybody bow when they saw him or something. Although he would find that very amusing. He paced around the field as he waited for members to the team to show up. He knew that Branden and Sean would be here as soon as they convinced Anthony to come with them. Little did Anthony know that the head coach and him had done a little discussing and they'd decided to put Anthony on the team without even seeing him play. Since he'd seen him play around with Branden and he knew that putting him on the team was the right thing to do. Because in a way, he kind of reminded him of Branden both were trying to make people see them as them and not as the sibling of an older brother. Although, Anthony's older sibling had died and after that he'd really developed a soft spot for him. He just hoped that wouldn't come out today otherwise he'd really be in for it.
"My god, where if everybody. Don't they know that I like people to be punctual. Especially when I'm the only one who can be here today." He said and then checked his watch, the team had five minutes to get here before they were late. He'd make an exception for Branden and Sean but that was it. He did know that Thomas wasn't going to be here though although he really didn't know why. He just hoped that nobody ended up getting him confused with Branden for some strange reason because he was about an inch taller and, he was wearing jeans and a t shirt. Now he knew that the old assistant coach worse nothing but dress shirts and polos but he couldn't just stand around and watch everybody else. At least, not today when the head coach had let him be the only one out here since he'd had to go to a wedding. Which was the reason he'd decided that today could be a major conditioning session. "Come on people, if this doesn't start soon I'll just run around the track by myself." He said before he stopped to check his watch before he began to pace again.

Neils pulled into a parking space in the football feild parking lot putting the top to his '67 Metallic Green Ford Mustang up. He got out and pulled his equipment out and then walked to the feild. He looked at the assistant coach realizing that he was rather young. He wasn't in too good a mood. Him and Jeanette were still on the frits and she seemed to be to worried about Thomas to try and fix it. He gave off a smile though just so he wouldn't look like a grizzly bear, which is how Jeanette discribes him when he's angry and when he's in his good moods she calls him a giant teddy bear. "Morning Coach." He said in that thick Greek accent. "I'm Neils Panagiotou. I'll admit, I'm kind of new to the whole playing American football aspect." He said gently looking at the feild then back to Josh.

Yes! He hadn't been called Branden, which meant that things would be alright after all. It felt really weird to be called coach though, he did have to admit that but he figured that he'd just have to get used to it. Or would he? Maybe he could convince the team to just call him by his first name. Since he knew that Branden wouldn't call him coach. He watched as somebody approached. He wondered who it was, since he looked new it made him wish that Branden was here since surely he'd know who that was approaching him. After Neils spoke his name clicked in his mind, aha so this was one of the foreign exchange students. "Ok, well first off getting called coach is really odd so you can just call me Josh if you feel like it." He said and then thought about what he said about being now to American football. "Don't worry, it's not the complicated. Some of the plays are but I don't think you'll have any problems. So, how much do you know about football?" He asked curiously before he realized that he hadn't formally introduced himself. "By the way, it's a pleasure to meet you Neils. I'm Josh Devereaux, Branden's older brother." He said and then checked his watch, five minutes had went by and nobody was in sight. "It looks like we're just going to have to hang around here and wait for everybody to show up. I might as well tell you what we're going to do today though because the head coach it out of town. We're just going to do some serious conditioning because knowing some of the teammates they got fat and lazy over the summer." He said and then rolled his eyes, those people were definitely not going to start if he got his way.

He nodded gently. He frowned gently and thought for a momoment. "Well, the basics really. I watched it enough to learn that, and I thought it would be a good activity to keep me in shape for soccer." He said gently looking at Josh. He smirked gently. He ran at least every two or three days the entire summer. He didn't like to get out of shape for anything and a lot of the sports he was in required speed like tennis. Though he didn't play that as much as he did soccer. ((I am so sorry for the shortness.... but my brain is just... bleh.))

"Well, you don't have to worry I'll make sure that you get everything down. So what position were you thinking of trying for? The newbies on the team don't really get first choice with things and a good number of the positions are still filled from last year. You're not going to be the only new person on the team though since Branden and Sean are supposed to be bringing somebody with them." He said and then looked around, half expecting to see Branden appear out of nowhere but he didn't see him. Which meant that there was only one thing that could be hindering him, Anthony's mother. Well, he'd told them that if she gave them any problems to call him so he hoped that one of the three would think of that. He was trying to act calm and not excited but he just couldn't help it. It was amazing that he'd gotten this position and being back out on the field made him think about everything that had went on out here. He could hear the crowd roaring in his mind and a small smile appeared on his face.
But he quickly snapped back to the present, all of that was in the past now. And now he was just the assistant coach and he wasn't the main person on the team. He'd be surprised if anybody even recognized him for anything that happened this year. Sure they'd probably remember his name but they wouldn't make a huge fuss about it or anything. Even though he really wouldn't mind if they did. Since he wasn't going to lie, he did have a rather large ego. He checked his watch again even though he knew that only two minutes had passed. "I hope they know that they're going to pay for not being punctual. Then again, maybe they'll realize that I'm not Mr. Niceguy then. But, since you were actually on time you don't have to run an extra two miles if you don't want to Neils." He said and wondered what his answer would be to that, he knew that some of the people on the team knew that he hated it when people slowed the team up. Which meant that he would suggest that the people just simply be a bench warmer most of the season unless they shaped up. Since the head coach had told him that he had a lot of say in things. Then again, the head coach was the same on that had been here when he'd been playing so the two were kind of friends in a way.

He thought for a minute thinking about what positions there were. "I guess defensive lineman would do." He said simply looking back to Josh. He knew he didn't look like he could pack much of a punch, but he could and he was a fast devil too. He didn't run nearly four miles a day for nothing. It kept him in shape for soccer. He looked at Josh and smirked gently. "I don't mind running an extra two miles, unless you just don't want me to." He said gently waiting to see what Josh's reaction to that would be. He knew how to keep up the pace no matter how far he went. He was just a big ball of energy some days and ran an extra mile from his three or four miles a day.

They could always use more defense, and as he studied Neils he knew that he would make a very good defensive linemen. Which meant that if his thoughts were right, which he figured they would be somebody was going to lose their spot to Neils. Did he care? Nope, he believed that you had to be at the top of your game to truly know you were going to keep your spot. "Well, that's good because that position should fit you. Now I don't think that I can officially mark you as one but I'll put that in my notes for today." He said and then heard his cell phone make the noise that indicated he had a new text message. Had he not told everybody not to call him right now (unless it was somebody from the team or Branden of course)? He pulled the phone out and read the message, well at least he knew when Branden would finally get here. He said that he'd be there in about ten minutes so that was encouraging. Since if a few more people showed up then he could actually start doing something constructive. It was starting to slowly heat up so he knew that they'd probably end up finishing things up when the sun was its hottest. But it wasn't his fault, they wouldn't have had to if everybody had been on time.
He heard the response Neils gave him, and a satisfied smile appeared on his face. That had been the answer that he'd been hoping for. "Ok, well I hope you won't regret that answer because that means you'll be running at least six miles. I think that's what the cross country team runs during their normal practices." He said and then looked at the stands the first game wasn't that far away and he couldn't wait to actually be doing something productive during the game again other then muttering things to himself about a play or something. "I feel like I should be entertaining you with a story or something. That's probably just me though because I don't really take to small talk that well." Josh said before shoving the phone back into his pocket. He wasn't going to tell Neils that he was planning on running with them and doing things with them today. He'd wait and surprise the whole team about that.
((By the way feel free to play the team members if you feel like it. And say the word and I'll pull my guys into this.))

He nodded his head gently at Josh. He didn't say anything though. He had never been good at making new friends. It was one of the few reasons he hated that his mother had moved him away from Greece. He looked around the feild. He realized it was smaller than the soccer feild. He had never noticed that before. He looked back to Josh when he heard his phone. He watched him then looked up at the stadium.
He looked back to Josh and smiled. "I normally run four miles a day. Two extras won't kill me." He said confidently looking at the ground then back to Josh. He ran a hand through his black hair then sighed gently. He frowned softly. "Not unless you want to." He said gently chuckling softly at Josh.

So he was confident too, that was good. He watched as he ran his fingers through his hair and then frowned that he was either nervous around him or wasn't very happy about something. Normally he was pretty good about reading the emotions of other people but he honestly couldn't tell what Neils was feeling at the moment. "I'll wait until we're about halfway through practice and I'll tell it while everybody's laying around on the grass trying to find their energy. Well, not everybody's trying to find their energy but a good number of them are." He said and then watched as Branden,Sean and Anthony came into view. Branden was piggybacking Anthony and Sean was jogging ahead of them slightly. He might as well start practice now, since there was four people. "I guess that we can finally start practice now." He said and watched as Anthony climbed off at Branden as the they stopped next to him.
"Sorry, we kind of ran into some traffic. But you can't say anything because you're the one who gave us the hall pass." Sean said as he bounced up and down a few times. Most of the people on the team were used to him never staying still for more then five minutes at a time. "I brought you a present though. And he should be here any minute, Mark's going to show up here. He just has to run a quick errand for my dad. How is he going to get here you ask? Well, the doctor told him that if he was really, really careful he could drive again. Since his knee isn't one hundred percent yet. They're also letting him off of the crutches for a few hours at a time." He said and then waited to see what Josh's reaction would be. He knew that he'd probably be surprised since Mark hadn't told him about what the doctor had said a few days ago. That was because he had been busy trying to work out some things for their dad. Since he couldn't really work on the construction sites for awhile after the knee surgery he'd taken to working at the hardware store and trying to make numbers come out at the store.
Ok, so he was surprised and not to mention it would be good to have Mark here. It meant that he could help him today by keeping everybody in line. It then dawned on him that Neils probably didn't even know who Mark was. "Mark is Sean's older brother who holds just about as many records as I do. And he did the dirty work for me on the football field. He had knee surgery a couple of weeks ago." He said before looking over at Anthony. He looked like he was very happy to be here, and he was glad because he had some very big news for him. "I was going to wait until the end of practice to tell you this Anthony but I can't. It's been decided that you've earned a spot on the team and we're toying with the idea of letting you start. It just depends on how the other people are." He said and then smiled at Anthony before putting his arms around his shoulders. Sure Anthony was just a sophomore but he had a lot of natural talent and not to mention, he could catch a ball from pretty much anywhere on the field. Since he'd watched him playing with Branden and he'd come to that conclusion.

He nodded his head gently and laughed gently as he listened to Josh. He wasn't so bad. He just once again had problems making friends sometimes. He looked over to Sean, Branden, and Anthony. He recognized Sean and Branden, but he had no clue who Anthony was. He watched them for a minute then looked back to Josh and nodded. He looked back to Sean. He loved the amount of never ending energy that Sean had. He was sure it could be a good thing and a bad thing a lot of times.
He looked back to Josh as he talked about Mark to him and nodded his head in understanding. He understood being in Sean's shoes all to well with Jeanette. He looked to Anthony as he started to talk to him. He was hoping to get a good spot on the team. He looked back to Josh then looked at the other Three boys for a moment before looking up to the stadium.

Holly decided to go watch the football players practise the first time of the year and plus she knew anthony was going out on the team, so she walked over to the benches on the side of the field and seen her brothers and sean already and noticed a new guy there the foreign exhange student, from somewhere because he had a slight british accent so that was cool.
And she was actually only there to see Anthony show off his talent of football, she yelled over to josh to see if he minded Hey, Josh, you mind if i watch you guys practice? and as she waited for him to reply she noticed anthony looked over quicker then anybody. Sure she had a crush on him but she was trying to play hard to get which wasnt working to good most of the time.

Almost as soon as Josh told him that he'd already earned a spot on the team he threw his arms around him. It was just a sudden reaction that he hadn't planned on happening. Since he really wasn't one for hugging people. Especially when it was in front of people and he knew that Josh probably wouldn't tolerate it if he did it again. "I promise I won't let you down. You're not going to regret this." He said and then noticed Holly out of the corner of his eye and he let go of Josh before stepping back and starting to blush, and it wasn't just because she'd seen him hugging her brother either. He liked her and he could kind of tell that she liked him back but he didn't really know if he should ask her out or not though. Since he felt like he needed Branden and Josh's ok to do that. And he knew that they'd probably give it to him, but the truth was that he was scared to ask her out. Since he didn't want to be rejected and not to mention he hadn't really dated anybody since he'd started to get home schooled. But now that he was getting to go back to a normal school people would probably expect him to have a girlfriend.
Josh was very surprised when Anthony hugged him, but he had a soft spot for him that he hoped nobody had noticed. Because he didn't want a ton of people to go "aw, Josh has a soft spot for Anthony so he must be losing his edge." That just wouldn't work for him not to mention if something like that happened then it would do something to his pride and he wouldn't like it. He was just about to say something when he heard Holly yelling and asking if she could stay and watch the practice. He noticed that Anthony was the one who had noticed her first and he hoped that it wouldn't make him get distracted if he let her stay. Since he knew that if Anthony somehow flopped today then Neils would probably wonder why he'd gotten a spot on the team right away. "Sure, just don't expect me to allow you to practice with us. " He yelled over to her, he was a little irritated that she'd shown up but he'd just keep his anger to himself.
Branden did have to admit, it was kind of cute how Anthony was so attached to Josh. Since he could tell that Josh really didn't care that Anthony had hugged him. If he had then he would have pulled Anthony off of him. He knew that Josh treated Anthony like he was another sibling, which he did find nice. Since he wanted to do anything in his power to make Anthony happy and not so sad all the time. But, he knew why Anthony seemed so happy today. It was because his mother was leaving for two weeks today. "Can we start now? I don't want to stand around here anymore." He asked and knew that Josh would probably say yes. He could tell that Sean was anxious to start too but Anthony seemed really calm but he probably wanted things to start too.

A dark haired boy jogged out to the field and stopped, his breathing barely ragged and his eyes bright but mischevious, "Hey guys," he said, "Coach." He nodded to the coach and everyone else before returning to a straight and steady posture. He smiled fliratiously at the girl on the edge of the field, "You can watch anything you like, hon." he said. "Just make sure it's me." He winked and turned back to the other guys.
He didn't really care if she was someone's girlfriend or if, God forbid, one of them was seriously into her, he could do as he pleased, so he would.

As she heard josh tell her it was okay just dont expect to be asked to practice with she really didnt want to be that close to anthony then that be a little easy to get him distracted from the practice which would just make josh even more mad at her then he was for her just showing up as she noticed another guy come onto the field and looking her way with flirtatious wink she yellled out to him I dont know who you are but dont flirt with me dude please she didnt like that when guys thought they could do whatever they wanted and knowing she was already crushing on somebody just waiting for him to ask her out or if he didnt she would do just that if she ever had him by himself which was rare.

((Sorry, but I'm in too lazy a mood to change accounts)) Neils watched the two and chuckled gently. The sound of a girl caught his attention and he looked up to see Holly. He looked up to David as he entered the feild and then he frowned softly at his flirting. He rolled his eyes and shook his head and then he chuckled at her response. "Oh, well, better luck next time, dude." He said in that thick Greek accent as he chuckled some. He always found it amusing when guys tried to flirt with girls and they flattly turned the guys down. ((I'm sorry for the shortness as well, but my Neils muse is out the window right now))
