Cassidy quickly did her final fix on her hair and make-up. Her hair was straitened more than usual. It's impossible to get her hair completely straight, 'cause it's so thick. More unusually, she had her hair back in a high ponytail. Cassie's make-up was simple. She wasn't going out to some fancy restrurant. It was simple silver-tinted shimmer around her eyes and pale blush. Then on her lips was a clear lip-gloss, just for some shine.
The moon shone fairly bright, but Cassie couldn't find any stars. They were all hidden by the city glow. Sadly, Cassidy walked up to the ticket booth alone. The girl selling tickets was dressed up like a character from an old movie. This made Cassidy smile a little.
"All alone on a Friday night hun? A pretty girl like you. Were is this world going?" the ticket seller said placing her thin arms on her wide hips. Cassie shrugged.
"I guess every girl has to do her share alone too." Cassidy sighed. She had a rough week. Randy got into a fight. He was okay, but the other kid. Oh dear. Cassie's father left again. On a 'buisness trip'.
Cassidy pulled her purse out. There was some change slidinf around in the bottom. Pulling 1.50$, she re-counted to make sure and handed it to the ticket seller.
"One for 'Grease' I guess." Cassie smiled, Grease was her favorite old movie. No one she knew liked old movies though. So she was always alone. Walking up to the concession stands, a young boy blushed and came to the counter. He asked what she wanted. Cassidy answered, barely even noticing the poor boy. Usually she'd flirt a bit. But wierdly, she was in deep thought.
The total was 6.68$ for a medium popcorn and a regular drink. I guess they have to make money somehow. Cassie pushed the theatre doors open. Darkness engolfed her. She sat down about in the middle. She turned her cell-phone off and sipped her iced-tea. Old commercials filled the small screen. Cassidy found it very amusing to watch all of them. So she always came early.
10 minutes to go. she thought.
