Ivy Harper was not in a good mood, at all. She was fine with being in the park but her parents had told her she couldn't bring a book and that they expected her to go meet at least one person. So here she was in the park, bookless without a clue of what to do. She walked slowly deciding to just go sit in the field. As soon as she got there however she was restless and wishing for a book.
She lay on her back and looked up to the sky deciding that maybe some cloud watching would take her mind off of not having a book to read. She felt like a bit of a dork laying in the grass, but she didn't really have a choice. Harmony and Gwendolyn were out on a double date, and she really didn't want to be the fifth wheel. She sighed looking to the sky, wondering if anyone would want to come talk to her.

Lev had finally moved in and completely adjusted to the new house. It was now time to wander the town and get to know it.Grabbing her heavy bag she left her house and walked around aimlessly when she came upon a park. She decided to wander inside the park, maybe meet a cute guy, or at least get some reading done, she was currently on her favorite, Catcher in the Rye one she read whenever she moved - it was a sort of traditon.
She was walking towards the swings when she found a girl lying on her back, staring up to the sky "er, HI" she said hovering above the girl

Ivy blinked a few times when a girl said 'hi' and introduced herself. She stood up quickly not wanting to look like a total weirdo and replied. "Hi, I'm Ivy" she said to the other girl, "What's your name?" When she heard herself she realized that the other girl might not want to share her name, but decided not to dwell on it. She wondered about the girls bag, she hadn't met many people who brought heavy bags to the park.
She hadn't seen the girl before, but that didn't really mean anything, after all she had only just moved here. She glanced around the park, it was not deserted, but it wasn't particularly busy either.

"Levy" She responded to the rather odd girl, not many people just lay on the ground like that, she found it rather intriguing. "I'm new, just moved here last week..." she said not sure why she shared that bit of information.
"Why were you just laying there?" She asked. She decided that she should play nice with the girl. In her old town she was known for bieng sort of - ok completely mean and unfriendly, she'd change that here at Twin Lakes, she'd change a lot of things.

"I'm new here too. Although I've been here a bit longer than you" Ivy told the other girl, "What do you think of it here? I think it seems kind of clique-y." She shrugged, "It's a pretty place to live though" she added. She smiled a bit when Levy asked her why she had been lying there. "Oh, I was just bored" she admitted, "I decided some cloud watching might make the time go by faster." She flashed Levy a grin, "It didn't, but it did bring you over here so I suppose it wasn't a total waste."
This girl seemed different than anybody Ivy had ever met before, but she didn't mind. After all life was more fun when you met new people. "Usually I would have been hanging out with my sisters, but they went on a double date and" Ivy smiled, "Well that would have been kind of weird."

Lev smiled, this girl Ivy was quite talkative. "I think this place is pretty ok, compared to places I've been- it's small, quiet, I like that." she started "This is actually my first outing and you're the first I've met so far so I dont know about Clique-y guess I'll find out huh?"
She threw her bag on the floor and sat down indian style and invited Ivy to sit with her. She rifled through her bag a bit when she found a pack of Newports -"you mind? it's ok if you do, I just wont lite it..."
She'd learned plenty of people minded if a 17 year old smoked so she made it habit to ask first. "I'm trying to quit but, stress - can't beat it..." she shrugged waiting for the Ivy to reply.

"Really" Ivy said, "I'm so tired of small, and quiet. I've never lived anywhere exciting." Ivy sighed, "Oh trust me, it's clique-y all right" she told Levy joining her on the ground, "I'm pretty sheltered from it because my sisters and I are so close and cliques have never mattered to us though." "We're not exactly fans of labeling people" she admitted.
She watched Levy pull out smokes and ask her permission. She wasn't exactly a fan, and she had never actually met a teenage smoker before. "I suppose not" she told Levy feeling a mixture of discomfort and curiosity about what this girl was actually like. "I'm sorry you're stressed" she told her honestly, "It's good you're trying to quit though. It's definitely not good for you." She knew she probably sounded like a dork, but it was the truth.
"I assume the clique stuff will be more obvious during the school year" she admitted, "Right now it's seems to be more of hang with whoever."

"I've lived in tons of places, from farm life to city life, and trust me, this is the better of the different worlds." She said pulling out a ciggarette and lighting it. She took a long drag and exhaled it imediately feeling relief. "Yea, I'm sorry I'm stressed too." she nodded.
"Well I'm not one for the labeling either, I mean why can't we just all be thought of as people? That's what we are after all, I don't know..." She took another drag. "I just hope I'm not labeled as the same thing I've always been labeled as..." she said not exactly wanting to tell Ivy her whole story - she just met the girl no need in giving her the whole Levy Ames bit on the first day.
"So, are you hungry or what? I'm famished I bet you know where's a good pizza place..."

Ivy listened to Levy's observations about places to live thoughtfully. She also watched the girl smoke, listening to her attentively. "I know" Ivy agreed with her thoughts on labels, "People are just that, people. We shouldn't dislike each other for the small differences." "After all, if we were all the same it would be very boring" Ivy said nodding.
"I hope you're not either" Ivy told her, she didn't know what Levy was normally labeled as, but she didn't seem to want to be that anymore. "Pizza" Ivy said thoughtfully. "Actually, there's this really great place at the mall. My aunt and uncle used to take me there all the time when I was younger" Ivy mentioned to her. "I suppose I could eat" she told the other girl nodding.

Lev took in everything Ivy said. She seemed like a bright girl. "Good" Lev put out her cigarette carefully and got up, she dusted herself off and offered a hand to Ivy "You'll have to lead the way, obviously" Lev said smiling a bit.
She liked this girl, they shared the same views on cliques, which hardly anyone shared. People liked being stereotyped and put into their little groups, it made them feel safe. Though they'd probably never admit it.

Ivy watched as Levy seemed to approve of her and put out her cigarette standing up. Ivy took the offered hand and stood up as well. "Thanks" she told the other girl. "I know, if you lead the way we could very easily get lost" Ivy said, "Don't worry too much though, it's a pretty small place. It's pretty hard to get lost."
Ivy smiled and began walking out of the park. She felt a little naked without her usual book, but Levy was helping melt some of her tension away. She hadn't met many people here, with the exception of her sisters who weren't into cliques. Well, it was her own fault for agreeing to go to public school.
(OOC: You or I can start the thread in the mall thats a continuation of this one, it's up to you)
